Terms of Use

Guessor is a photo-location guessing service operated by Xiaoyao Systems. By using Guessor, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

If you upload photographs or other content to Guessor, you must own that content or have the permission and rights needed to use it here. Do not upload content that infringes someone else’s copyright, privacy, or other rights, and do not upload illegal or seriously harmful content.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant Xiaoyao Systems a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, process, display, transmit, and (where technically required) resize or otherwise transform your content solely as needed to operate and provide Guessor. This licence is for running the service — it is not a claim of ownership over your content.

Challenges may be shared with other people according to the sharing and visibility options available in Guessor. Today, that commonly means sending a challenge link. If Guessor later offers additional visibility controls (for example broader discovery or friend/follower visibility), content will be shown according to those options and these terms will continue to apply.

You are responsible for what you choose to include in a challenge before you share it.

You agree not to:

• Use Guessor unlawfully
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service
• Probe or exploit vulnerabilities, or attempt unauthorized access
• Use automated means to spam, scrape abusively, or otherwise abuse Guessor
• Impersonate others or engage in fraud
• Upload content without the necessary rights or permission
• Attempt to access another person’s account, session, or data without authorization

Guessor may be used anonymously or with optional Google sign-in. Where a session or account is involved, you are responsible for activity carried out through that session or account, to the extent that activity is under your control.

We may change, suspend, remove, or improve features of Guessor over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Guessor challenges stay available to play until they expire or are removed. Some challenges have no automatic expiration; others may expire at a set time and then become unavailable to play. Creators may also delete their challenges earlier. Do not rely on any challenge remaining accessible indefinitely.

Distances, rankings, and related results are provided as part of the entertainment experience. They may occasionally be affected by technical issues, mapping inaccuracies, or other limitations of the tools Guessor uses.

Parts of Guessor depend on third-party infrastructure and services — for example hosting, authentication providers, analytics, and map imagery. Your use of those third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.

Guessor is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Xiaoyao Systems is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Guessor. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

We may restrict or terminate access to Guessor when we reasonably believe it is necessary for abuse prevention, security, legal compliance, or protection of the service and its users.

These terms may evolve as Guessor evolves. When we update them, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Guessor after an update means you accept the revised terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
